I'm awake, but I'd like to still be asleep. Believe it or not, Johnny and I don't usually get up until after 8:00 each day. We're just on a different system out here. In Utah it was 6:00. My friend Persie is sitting next to me. She's the culprit WHO WOKE ME UP (and just stepped on the caps lock) by walking on my stomach and boobs until I got up and fed her.
Normally, she sleeps in the living room, but we decided to let her sleep in our room last night because she had a hard day. Our neighbors were smoking pot again. It seeps up into our apartment from the one corner of our bedroom, and our apartment fills with the smell. And there Persie was, sleeping in that corner all day. I didn't know it could affect her, but the poor little thing was high as a kite, and when Johnny got home, she ran out the door, down our stairs and to the front door of the building in no time, and she didn't want to go back to the apartment. It was the strangest thing. And then she wouldn't let us touch her for a while.
So she had a rough night. We felt bad. I finally called the landlord and let him know what was up and that it needed to stop.
Anyway, that's my story for the day. Have a good day, everybody! I wonder if the groundhog will see his shadow...

Oh my goodness!! I can't believe that! Funny but sad. Good for you for telling your landlord. I wonder what he is going to do?!
Your neighbors got your cat high? Like your friend Lindsay said, funny but sad.
You poor thing! I guess that is one more downfall of living in such close quarters.

Holy cow! Poor Persie! I hope your landlord gets on the ball and fixes the situation. I bet she was scared silly.
I have never been high, myself, so I can only imagine what tricks her tiny brain were playing on her. Hilariously tragic.

Hahahahaha - is it wrong that I find the story about pot + Persie so funny? :) I am assuming she is okay (if not, then not so funny). I also giggled about the fact that Persie walked on you to wake you up. I must say I know exactly how you feel as I have had that same experience in your very bed.... hahaha.

I know that I should focus on the cat story but you don't get up until EIGHT!??! That makes me super jealous.
