Bunker Hill Monument

Sarah and I decided to trek over to the Bunker Hill Monument together during her visit. In order to get there we had to cross a bridge from our neighborhood (North End) to Charlestown, where the monument was located. I'd never been to that part of Boston, and it was so quaint! I immediately fell in love.

This is what all of Charlestown looks like. Ridiculous, right?

The monument

We walked to the top of the monument via a winding stone staircase with 290-something steps. Sarah and I were both sore the next day.

Afterward, we stopped at Paul Revere Park, which gave us a nice view of the Bunker Hill Monument Bridge.

Johnny and I are so happy Sarah and Greg came and visited! We loved spending time with them, and they gave us an excuse to get out and see Boston!
