Last Wednesday Johnny and I saw Death Cab for Cutie at The Bowery Ballroom. It's a pretty small venue located on the Lower East Side. It was Johnny's third time seeing DCFC and my first time.

Don't mind the picture. I always choose inopportune days to not do my hair or makeup.
Once we actually got inside, the opener didn't even start playing for another hour and a half, which we didn't realize. However, it ensured we were at the very front, and it gave me time to snoop around and take pictures.
The opening band was called The Lonely Forest. Johnny thought the drummer looked like Hurley from
Lost. I agreed.
Then came DCFC. They played 26 songs. 26! It was so great. I love being able to just sit back and be absorbed by music and not think about anything else. Poor Ben Gibbard, though. By the end he was literally drenched in sweat from head to toe.
The show ended at around midnight, and we headed outside and just sat on the concrete for a while, resting after standing for a solid 5 hours.
We still hadn't eaten dinner yet so we ended the night with street meat. It was a perfect night out with my boy.
