Quick Update

So we arrived in New York bright and early this morning. My Uncle Pat picked us up from the airport, and he drove us to our home for the next six weeks. We are living in Columbia's international housing. We are in a really pretty area, but we don't have to walk far before we are in the heart of Harlem. It was a hot day, and we don't have any A/C, so we are a bit toasty right now. We are both super exhausted. It's all a really new experience to be in NYC, and I will take lots of pictures soon! We didn't really get any sleep last night, so I am going to bed. Night!

From Coast to Coast

In less than a month, Johnny and I will be saying goodbye to Utah for a few months. Johnny got an internship in NYC for the first half of the summer and an internship in LA for the second half of the summer.

Johnny will be interning at Y&R while we are in New York and will be interning for Deutsch while we are in Los Angeles. We are really excited. Johnny's so talented. I am really proud of him!
    

Panning for Gold

Johnny, Will, and I went panning for gold on Saturday. Apparently, American Fork Canyon is a known hot spot for gold, so we thought it'd be fun since it is so nearby. We found this prospector store nearby (random), and Johnny and I went and got our supplies. We were the only people in the store, which was full of all kinds of interesting items. You could tell that the store owner took all of it pretty seriously. Johnny said to him, "Yeah, we thought panning for gold would be a fun activity to try." The man just looked at him like he couldn't believe that Johnny would take it so lightly. Haha. It was really relaxing just being by the water, and all of us found teeny-tiny pieces of gold! The only drawback was that it wasn't that warm, so we plan to go again once this blasted weather comes to an end.
