A Sad Day

This picture was taken before the game on Saturday, so we were upbeat and super excited. In the end, we were about as depressed as they come, but I still managed to get some good shots from our amazing seats! Better luck next time, right?

Ungrateful Me

I woke up this morning thinking about how nothing seems to be going right in our lives lately. After Johnny left for work, I just crawled back in bed and went back to sleep because I didn't want to think about it. Anyway, at lunch I voiced my feelings to Johnny. I was like, "I just feel like everything is out of control in our lives right now and that nothing is going right." And you know what his reply was? "Really? I feel the exact opposite. I feel like everything's been going great lately." He went on to name all of these things that I just kind of took for granted, such as us both being able to find good paying jobs. Anyway, I realized that things are going great and I should be more grateful!

Speaking of which, we got front row seats for our season football tickets!

Skunk Bear

This weekend we have been watching our friends' ferret, Skunk Bear. It's been so much fun! I feel like he has practically become a part of our family. Isn't he cute?

Yahtzee!

We recently had our friends Pat and Lindsay Koelling over to play Yahtzee with us for Family Home Evening. Pat and Lindsay aren't big game players and Johnny and I are, well, just the opposite, so we were thrilled to find a game that we all like to play. It was so much fun that I think this will have to become a tradition...Yahtzee with the Koellings!

Sushi with the Girls

I meant to post about this a long time ago, but I'm just getting around to it. While my parents were in town for Johnny and my graduation, my mom, Sarah, Jill, and I went to a sushi place for lunch. Other than having California rolls on one occasion, I had never tried sushi, especially the raw stuff! Sarah convinced us all to give it a try (for she is a big sushi fan herself), and so my mom, Jill, and I tried lots of new stuff. I tried raw salmon and raw tuna. I liked the tuna the best! The main thing I liked though was getting to spend time with my family...I wish I could see all my sisters and my mom everyday! I miss them!!

Last Saturday

Last Saturday night, along with some of our fellow BYU fans, we went and met the football players as they got off the plane at the Provo airport. Their amazing performance in Dallas deserved a very warm welcome, and that is what we gave them! After the players walked by and gave us all high-fives, Bronco talked to us for a few moments. It might have been 2:00 in the morning, but it was well worth it. Now I can't wait for this Saturday's game!
