Utah Baby Shower

My sisters Sarah, Melyssa, and Hannah threw me a shower while we were in Utah last week! It was so nice, and I felt so loved through it all. I got to see some of my favorite people who I haven't seen in a very long time, and it was such a happy night!

Per my request, everyone wrote out baby name recommendations. Johnny and I have no clue what we will name our little girl!

BYU gear! Our girl will represent from day one!

I was quite giddy by the end with all those adorable clothes surrounding me! And, of course, I felt the need to try on the nursing cover for some reason...

At the end I was ready to just cuddle with Johnny. We are so excited to be parents in just a few months!

The Koellings Visit Boston

This past weekend we had such a fun time with our friends Pat and Lindsay. Several weeks ago they decided to come visit Boston, and then the timing worked out perfectly because we're moving next week! Getting to see them before our move was such a treat. We loved every single second we spent with them.

It was our last carefree weekend appreciating Boston, and we couldn't have picked more fun-loving people to be with. It was especially fun to see Lindsay because she and I are exactly three months apart in our pregnancies!

Last Sunday in NYC

On our last Sunday as NYC residents, we had an impromptu gathering with a few friends in Central Park. The weather was perfect and the surroundings were beautiful. We couldn't have spent our last Sunday any better.

Weekend in Stamford

Right now our friends Travis and Kira and their daughter Kenzie are visiting from Salt Lake. Travis and Johnny served a mission together in NYC, and this weekend we went up to Stamford, CT, one of the areas in which they served.

On Saturday we visited with Janet, and she and her husband served us a delicious meal.

Their little girl was adorable.

Kenzie is pretty adorable, too.

On Saturday night, Luis stopped by our hotel room and brought us a pizza.

On Sunday, we were able to go to the Spanish ward, and Johnny and Travis got to see people they hadn't seen in a very long time. After church we went and visited with the Vera family.

On Sunday night, we got to visit with Cesar and Elida. They also fixed us a delicious meal.

It was a great weekend filled with wonderful people. For two days straight, we were all immersed in the Spanish language. Johnny and Travis seemed very happy to visit with some of the families they taught on their missions.

We Win!!

Last night will be a night for remembering. Our BYU boys (#9) played SDSU (#4). I felt like the whole day was leading up to the game that night, which didn't start until 10:00 our time. This was the scene at our little apartment:

a little bit of this...
and a LOT of this

We won by 13 points and our boy Jimmer scored 43!!! It all turned out better than I ever could have imagined. The Hardings had family at the game, and Johnny and I had family at the game, and we were all jealous of the amazing atmosphere they were a part of. After we won, there was hugging, high-fiving, and some strange hand slaps between Johnny and Klane. Those two were high on Jimmer.

Meanwhile, it was looking like this outside:

The poor Hardings had to go home at 1:00 in the morning a snowstorm! I have NO IDEA how they made it home, but I've heard from Angie today, so at least I know they're alive and well. I'm so glad they were willing to trudge over to our place for such a great night!!

Park Avenue Tree Lighting

On Sunday night Johnny and I headed up a few blocks to the Park Avenue tree lighting. Many people around the city meet at a church on Park Avenue to sing hymns and watch the lighting of the trees.

I'm not gonna lie. It was freezing cold, but it was really neat to sing hymns and feel the Christmas spirit with our neighborhood.

We met up with the Hardings and Alexa, and we also saw some of our church friends at the event. Although our faces were frozen, at least they were smiling.

Afterwards, the Hardings and Alexa came to our house to watch our church's Christmas devotional and enjoy hot chocolate and Christmas sugar cookies!

It was a perfect Sunday night. Isn't Christmastime wonderful?

pictures thanks to Angie and Alexa :)
