Bon Iver

On Wednesday night Johnny and I headed to Brooklyn for a Bon Iver concert. We were both excited to see Justin Vernon live. Johnny had a softball playoff game the same night, and Band of Horses was playing in NYC the same night, but we chose Bon Iver!

It was an outdoor concert located in Prospect Park, which is basically Brooklyn's version of Central Park. The weather was perfect, and we laid out our blanket and waited for the show to start.

The opener was a band called Rosebud.

Before Bon Iver came out, we were able to meet up with the Youngbergs and the Egans, who were also there! The show was so good, and I enjoyed every single song so much. Bon Iver is definitely worth seeing live. We had a great time!

I like the girl who's reading while waiting. I'm totally that girl whenever we go anywhere.

oh my goodness. that sounds so magical. i wish i could have been there.
also, those are the nights when you wish you were hermione in the 3rd harry potter, and you could wind time backwards and do all the things you wanted to do.
but you still got to see justin vernon who is AMAZING.

I hadn't heard of Bon Iver until I saw a feature on the Colbert Report. And then I wished I had never heard of Bon Iver. It's a good thing I'm not the one who moved to New York. I would totally not take advantage of the Indie Kid scene.

I realized on our trip while Klane and my little brother were talking music, that I am totally out of the music scene. I am not hip anymore. I have no idea what's going on. I don't listen to Bon Iver. I don't go to concerts anymore. I am getting old, I think. But I think it's really cool that you guys are still young and hip and into music and concerts. :) Looks like fun!
