On a beautiful fall day before one of our BYU football games, Johnny, Sally, and I headed to Bridal Veil falls for a short hike. Johnny and I had both been to the falls before, but we'd never actually hiked up to them. Surprisingly, the hike was super short and doable, which was just what we needed with a baby in tow.
Sally was a trooper the whole time, and even started to fall asleep on Johnny by the end. And being so close to the falls was such an incredible feeling. I felt all my stress falling away. With being a mom and a full-time employee, I get pretty keyed up during the week. And so I love weekends where we can get away as a family and just enjoy ourselves. It was a pretty perfect outing, if I do say so myself.
