4th of July: Night

This was our first 4th of July spent in NYC, and we ended up seeing the best fireworks show we've ever seen.

Our friends Pat and Lindsay invited us to go watch the fireworks at Pat's work, which overlooks the Hudson River.

We got to his office building right as the sun was starting to set, and we sat and watched for the fireworks to begin.

We weren't supposed to go to the roof to watch the fireworks, but the next thing I knew, we were sneaking up the stairwell and onto the rooftop. The view was amazing.

There were crowds of people below us trying to get a view of the fireworks.

I swear we had one of the best views of all.

The fireworks were synchronized from six barges on the Hudson. Lindsay took these great pictures of the fireworks:

It was so cool to have such an incredible view of the biggest fireworks show in the country. Thanks to the Koellings, we'll always remember our first 4th of July in NYC!

Those are the best fireworks ever! Or maybe just the best view of fireworks ever, or both. I showed Jared and he was equally impressed.
