It's official. We have now been residents of NYC for a year. I can't believe how quickly the first year passed. For me, it went a little like this:
- Months 1-2: excited and overwhelmed
- Months 3-5: loving the excitement
- Months 6-7: scheming an escape plan
- Months 8-12: feeling at home
We are really loving living out here. When we got back from our vacation, getting off at our subway stop actually felt like home for the first time. When we first moved out here, I think Johnny and I were mentally setting up a time frame for how long we would be out here. I would say, "Two years max," when people would ask. Now, we've both forgotten all about time frames, and we're just enjoying our daily life as New Yorkers.

The photo looks all vintagey, very cool. It's weird, I was going to say "I can't believe it's been a year!" but in a lot of ways I feel like you've been here with us the whole time. I can't believe it's ONLY been a year! You're just such New Yorkers. ;)
