Christmas Lights at Temple Square

Johnny and I hadn't been to see the lights at Temple Square for a few years, and we were excited to see them this year. In the days leading up to Christmas, we struggled to find time to go up there. We finally decided on a day, and then a snowstorm rolled in and we had to cancel. Finally, the day before Christmas Eve, we headed up. Neither of us was thrilled to go out on one of the busiest days of the year, but it actually ended up being perfect!

We got to Temple Square just a few minutes before the lights turned on, found a perfect parking spot, and got to see all the lights before everything got too crowded. Sally was pretty indifferent to all of it, despite our numerous attempts to try to point the lights out to her. That said, she was happy to be there. Whether she's in a good mood can really make or break a trip. But it ended up being one of our more perfect outings as a family of three!

Jo these pictures are SO BEAUTIFUL! You're inspiring me to want to get out there with my camera. I love this! It's making me regret my decision to leave mine at home the night we went up there. Also, it's really gorgeous before dark as well! Sigh.... I miss Utah! And YOU!
