birthday boy!!

Yesterday was a big day in the Galbraith apartment. It was a day to celebrate Johnny! As most adults do on their birthdays, Johnny had to go to work on his big day. Because of this, it was extra important that he have a good birthday night! When he got home, he had gifts, cards, and a cake awaiting him at the kitchen table:

He strummed on his guitar while I finished up dinner---his mom's spinach turnovers! Once those were in the oven, the present opening began. We had such a fun night together, relaxing and listening to music on his record player (birthday gift) and watching a movie, which we were too tired to finish (welcome to adulthood).

I also baked him a coconut cake, per his request. It was much more difficult and troublesome than I anticipated, but I think he loved it, so it was all worth it in the end!

I sure do love my boy, and I loved celebrating his big day!
