Around the House

I mentioned nesting in my last post. It's definitely ramped up lately. I feel like my to-do list is never ending. My head is constantly filled with dozens and dozens of projects or tasks I can/should/want/need/must be doing. Currently, I don't feel pregnant at all. I mean, that's a lie. Obviously, I do, but sometimes I'm so consumed in my little projects that when I look down and see a pregnant belly, I'm surprised for a split second.

There's a downside to nesting as well. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed, and I can't even pinpoint why. Johnny is very patient in these moments, and he helps me to calm down and realize everything's okay and everything doesn't have to be perfect right this second.

As far as my size goes, I don't feel very big right now. I went to a baby shower last weekend, and each time I told someone I was 28 weeks pregnant, I got a shocked response, so I must not be showing as much as I thought I was either. And I think I still walk about the same as I did before. I can still bound up and down our stairs at home. Johnny and I even went on a walk around our neighborhood last Saturday... a full ONE mile! I was actually kind of sore the next day. I am trying to enjoy feeling good now because everyone tells me how tired and huge I'm going to feel.

Also, my belly button is disappearing. It was already disappearing when we went to Utah in September, but now it's just a little slit on my stomach. Will it ever pop? Only time will tell.

And now on to the pictures. I've been crocheting a baby blanket, and it's coming along so much better than any blanket I've tried in the past. I'm using a simple, repetitive pattern, so I haven't gotten bogged down or overwhelmed. I complete one colored row each day, and by October 30, I will be done! I will post a picture of the finished product in a few weeks. (Also, I took that picture in our bedroom, and the natural light is great in there during the day. I can't wait to have a little baby girl on that bed to take pictures of!)

The other pictures are of three projects I completed all in one day. I was really feeling the nesting craze on that day. I reupholstered our ottoman, gathered some acorns in our neighborhood and created some fall decor, and created little pom pom flowers. Our house is slowly but surely turning into a home.
