I cannot believe Johnny and I have celebrated six Valentine's days together! It doesn't seem like it's been that long! I wonder if that's how couples who have been married for 40 years feel---like it hasn't been very long.
Johnny presented me with roses and hydrangeas at lunchtime, which made my day, and I had a hay day taking pictures of them, especially the hydrangeas. I asked Johnny if he thought there was a way to have hydrangeas as an indoor plant, but he said he didn't think so, haha. A girl can dream.
The roast was a success! We paired it with carrots, asparagus, and potatoes au gratin. I also went to Mike's Pastry during my lunch break and picked out a lobster tail for dessert!
We had a wonderful day with just the two of us. I love Valentine's Day. There's just a special feeling in the air, and an extra amount of sweetness. I feel so lucky to be married to Johnny! He is perfect for me, and he makes me feel so loved.
I do think it's funny how our culture automatically starts thinking about the next holiday as soon as the current holiday is over. I'm already seeing St. Patrick's Day and Easter stuff everywhere. I just want to take a breather for a second! I guess people just like having events to look forward to!

I can't believe you made that lobster tail last two days! I still think I could eat one all by myself in one sitting.
