To Boston We Go

Things have been rather quiet on this blog as of late, but our lives have been far from still. The last few weeks have been crazy, to say the least. A couple weeks ago Johnny got offered a job in Boston. It's an amazing opportunity, one that we never could have seen coming. After thinking it over for a very, very long time, Johnny accepted the position last Tuesday. He put in his two weeks' at his current job last Wednesday, and we're moving NEXT WEEK.

It's all happening so fast that we haven't even had a moment to take a breath! But we do know that this is the right direction for us. One thing after the other has fallen in to place, like magic almost. Otherwise, I don't know if we would have even considered this move. I never could have guessed even a month ago that we'd be leaving NYC so soon.

I have moments of major excitement, but I also have moments when I feel sad to be leaving. I know Johnny feels the same way. We just finally got settled in this big city, and we've made some friends that are like family to us out here. At the same time, we feel so blessed and lucky for the opportunity that lays ahead of us.

We have gone to Boston the past two weekends, once for Johnny to check out his new work, and once to find an apartment. We had never been to Boston, and we immediately fell in love with the city. It is beautiful, historic, and charming. However, none of this would mean anything if Johnny and I didn't have each other. I'm so happy we are a constant in each other's life. It makes each new adventure that much more fun because we'll be facing it together.

We have an endless to-do list, and things are stressful at times, but we are mostly just excited!! There's so much left to do in the next week, but we are very excited to start this new chapter of our lives!

That is awesome and exciting! Where is he working? Johnny is so talented, I'm not surprised someone else recognized his talent so quickly. I've never been to Boston but have always wanted to visit.

Best of luck to you both!!

XO,
Catherine

First of all, you are getting to be such an awesome photographer. Secondly, I'm SO excited for you. Boston is my favorite city ever. I love it even more than New York for some reason. I'm so excited for you guys. And yes, husbands are awesome for providing stability when everything in life seems so crazy!

I have such mixed emotions! I am so happy for you guys and excited for you, and a little jealous because i LOVE Boston, and I'm also so sad to be losing you! Overall though, this is a great, great thing. So excited for you! (And keep that air mattress handy because we will be using it!!)

BOSTON!!!! Oh, you're going to love it. Best city in the world, hands down. It has so much personality, and New Englanders are just so precious, and the accent! I'm so jealous of you. I think I'd be willing to cut off my right arm in exchange for Sam being willing to move to Boston, and as I'm right-handed that's sort of a big deal.
