Around the House

This past month has been one of the craziest yet. Moving on a quick timeline with a baby nearly drove both Johnny and me to insanity. Johnny accepted his new job on a Friday, we flew home from Utah the following Monday, and then I flew back out to Utah a week and a half later (while he drove). So in a little over a week, we had to get our townhouse in NC all packed up and ready for the movers. Packing with Sally was impossible, so we did all the packing at night when Sally was asleep. Our bedtimes were at three and four in the morning for almost a week straight. I had a couple breakdowns, if I'm being honest.

On top of it all, Johnny got the most sick he's ever been right before our move, which made thing even crazier. Luckily, we found out what was wrong with him, and after two weeks of really strong antibiotics, he was back to his old self. Now we are all healthy and very happy in our new place.

This move may have seen like a sudden one, and it was for us, too! Johnny's job in NC wasn't what we'd hoped, and so Johnny began applying elsewhere. He ended up interviewing for jobs in Dallas, Los Angeles, and Provo (say what?!), and we accepted the job in Provo! It just felt right, and Johnny is loving his work. We're very happy and are surprisingly loving being back in Utah. I've got lots to update about our lives, but for now, here are a few pictures from this evening before Sally went to bed. Sally wants to learn to crawl like nothing else, and she works on it daily. I feel like with the craziness of moving, I've missed out a little bit on all her changes in the past month! So we'll start with this:
