Sally's two-week stats:
weight: 9 lbs 2 oz (75%ile)
height: 22.5 inches (98%ile)
head: 14.5 inches (69%ile)
Sally right now:
- Sally LOVES nursing. She is very passionate about getting her food. We've got a very ferocious eater on our hands. Johnny and I laugh so hard when Sally is first trying to latch on because her head whips from side to side sooo fast.
- She's a very noisy eater and sleeper. Sally has no qualms about letting us know she's there.
- Sally's happy if Mom and Dad are around. Just lately she'll sit awake contentedly as long as we're right by her. As soon as we are out of sight (in other words, more than two feet away), she'll get fussy.
- She eats every 3 hours or so. With the diapering and nursing and burping and putting Sally back to sleep, we currently get about two hours of sleep in between feedings during the night. Johnny and I are exhausted, but Sally's doing what a two-week-old does, so we can't complain too much.
Johnny and me right now:
- Like I said, we're exhausted. Not getting sleep is the hardest part about being a new parent, hands down. We're adjusting, though, and Sally is totally worth every bit of sleep deprivation.
- Johnny is a master swaddler. I don't even try because my swaddles pale in comparison. After most feedings at night, I nudge Johnny awake, and he puts his skills to good use.
- We do delirious things during the night. We've both dreamed that we're holding Sally and then woken up in a panic when she's not in our arms (but sound asleep in her bassinet). Johnny has asked me "Where's Sally?!" multiple times during the night.
- We laugh a lot at a lot of stuff. In Sally's short life, she's already burped louder than Johnny and I ever could. On the flip side, we've also had a couple 3 a.m. feedings where we've been less than cordial to each other, usually when a certain little person is crying a lot.
Every day we become more and more adjusted as a family. I love seeing Johnny and Sally together. She already knows and loves her dad. Sally is growing so fast, so we're trying our best to enjoy every moment!

you're already such a natural mama! and that girl just keeps getting prettier. good job, guys :)
So cute! That cracks me up at how loud she burps. Also, I can't believe how TALL she is!!! Way to go! Keep up the good work!!~!
"less than cordial" that's hilarious! I'm sure greg and I have shared some choice words in the middle of the night with a crying baby. I'm definitely not my best at 3am. No one should ever be awake then. There should be a law.
She is just precious. love the picture. what a beauty! i hope things are getting easier and easier! I'm sure they are! :)
