Thoughts and Persie

I cannot believe it's November! Time has been flying. I absolutely love this time of year---I know, super original. Seriously, though, I get so excited when this time of year rolls around. Before I get to the meat of this post, here are some pictures I never got to share of Persie. As we packed up our NYC apartment, it was as if we were creating all the chaos just for her---an obstacle course of sorts. I would find her in all kinds of places:

Johnny and I are really loving Boston. I can tell Johnny loves his job. He is still doing copywriting, but of a different kind than he did at DDB. He is working for a major political campaign based here in Boston. It is fast paced and high stress at times, but he really enjoys it.

Being out here feels so natural and right. I can't get over what a beautiful city Boston is. As I've finally begun exploring, I have been shocked by how unique and charming each neighborhood is. So many areas are so picturesque.

Because of Johnny's new job, we won't be taking any vacation days for the next several months, so for the first time ever Johnny and I will be spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with just each other! I know this may seem weird, but I'm really excited! Of course, we'd rather be with family, but I think it will be fun to make our own little traditions. I just ordered groceries, and our stuffing, rolls, and pie will not be homemade on Thanksgiving :) That still leaves me with the turkey and a few other side dishes that I'm sure will be plenty overwhelming!

Stay tuned! My sister and her husband recently visited, and I'll be posting more soon!

We totally did Thanksgiving by ourselves last year and I really enjoyed it. It feels a little different, but it's fun in its own way.

I'm glad you guys are enjoying Boston--I'm still so jealous!

I did a little stalking the other day on LinkedIn and saw Johnny's new job. So fun and so perfect for him. I remember in high school when he created that political website for young people and all of our friends were super impressed. Happy for you guys!!
